People are our primary mission. To those who are hurting and lost as to a reason
for it all, we offer the hope, life, and love of Jesus. To believers living a
day to day existence we offer a place to learn, a refuge of fellowship with
others, and the challenge to serve. But in every service and in every activity
of our church family we seek to remind people of God's great love for them--a
love that caused Him to send His Son for us to die for our sin.
1. What is Sin? - Disobedience to God.
(Proverbs 14:12) "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
2. Where did sin come from? - Adam in the garden of Eden
(Romans 5:12) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world. and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned :"
3. Who has sinned? - Everyone has sinned.
(Isaiah 53:6) ",All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
(Romans 3:23) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God:"
4. What is sin's result - Death and separation from God.
(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
5. What is the hope for mankind? - God's love.
(Romans 5:8) "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
6. What can be done about it? - Confess Christ.
( Romans 10:9-10) "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
If you have never made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus and would like to trust Him to save you from you sin, would you pray the following prayer:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner. I also realize that there is nothing I can do to change that, or to deserve Your love. But, I believe You died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin, and that God raised You from the dead so that I can have life that is eternal. Please come into my life, take control of my life, forgive me of my sins and save me. I now turn from my sins and transfer my trust to You alone for my salvation. I accept your free gift of eternal life.
"Thank you Lord Jesus for saving my soul. In Jesus' name. Amen."
